Mildred "Millie" Sennings
Mildred “Millie” Sennings, 105, of Springfield, died at 9:30 am, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her home. She was born June 4, 1910 in Bond County, Illinois to William and Rosa Bates Stevens. She married Carl Sennings on December 19, 1931 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1997.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Terry Sennings of Virden, Amy Lockwood, Jody Sennings and Rick (Tricia) Sennnings all of Springfield, Jerry (Lori) Jameson of Georgia and Cassey (Mike) Miller of Desolge, MO; thirteen great grandchildren, Brittany and Michael Lockwood, Mitchell and Macie Sennings, Shaughneyssey Cotton, Serenity Miller, Kendra Miller, Amy, Adam and Aaron Jameson, Allison Brand, Greg and Jason Jameson; two great great grandchildren, Mason Brand and Grace Jameson; one sister, Lila Vermilye of Fenton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Bessie Moreland, Esther Conderman, Zelma Armstrong and Daisy Batz; three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Thomas Stevens, one daughter, Erma Jameson, two sons, Carl and William Sennings and one grandson Ron Jameson.
Millie was a server for many years at the Georgian Restaurant and volunteered for many years at the Land of Lincoln Bank.
She enjoyed fishing, quilting, baking and spending time with her family.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
