Mildred L. Zattich
SPRINGFIELD – Mildred L. Zattich, 88, of Springfield died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at Heritage Manor.
She was born June 2, 1920, in Springfield, the daughter of John William and Mary Ribar Ramey. She married John E. Zattich in 1939; he preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1986.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (husband, Jack) Flynn of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; a son, John A. (wife, Sharon) Zattich of Springfield; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty (husband, Louis) Viele of Springfield, Evelyn (husband, Frank) Mertz of Quincy, Donna (husband, Joe) Fletcher of St. Louis and Maryelaine (husband, Vincent) McManus of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, William Ramey of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a lifelong resident of Springfield and worked as a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Church and Legion of Mary at St. Aloysius.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home, with visitation held one hour prior to services, with the Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
