Michael Henry Painter

SPRINGFIELD – Michael H. Painter, 46, of Springfield, IL died Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born August 2, 1966 to Chester Jacob and Bonnie Harbour Painter, Jr. in Springfield, IL.

His father preceded him in death.

He married Christina Johnson in 1992 and they later divorced.

Surviving are a son, Michael (Taylor) Painter II of Springfield; a grandson, Michael Henry Painter III; mother and step-father, Bonnie (Bud) Reiser of Pleasant Plains; two brothers, Roy (Deanna) Painter and Garry Painter both of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Michael was a resident of Springfield all of his life and worked for U-Haul. He was a member of the Springfield Ski and Boat Club, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and golfing. Michael adored his grandson.

Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 am Thursday June 6, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday June 6, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with minister Gary Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
