Survived by:
Sister: Rita (Don) Piniotti, Toledo, Ohio Franciscan family of the Sacred Heart Province Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was a Franciscan Friar of the Sacred Heart Province for 57 years and a Franciscan Priest for 50 years. Fr. Michael spent a year as chaplain and instructor at Maryville College, St. Louis, MO. He then began a long and wonderful career for 29 years as a military chaplain for the United States Air Force. He retired in 1990 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His travels as chaplain took him to Japan, Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Spain, Philippines, Vietnam and many other countries. His final duty was ministering to the men and women of Desert Storm as they returned from combat. Fr. Michael was a man of gentle traits, jovial personality, determined spirit, and an eager willingness to be of service. He loved being a Franciscan Friar and Priest.
