Melba Lee Grady
Melba Lee Grady, 84, of Springfield, died at 7:57 am, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home. She was born, April 11, 1932, in Winchester, IL to James and Gladys Orris Traw. She married Estle Lee Grady on October 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2015.
Survivors include her two daughters, Crystal (Edward) Fair of Middlesboro, KY and Rebecca (David) Jimison of Springfield; three grandchildren, Melody (Paul) Wray of Middlesboro, KY, Todd Reynolds of Middlesboro, KY and Brett (Lisa) McAllister of Eureka, CA; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three brothers, James (Rose) Traw of Cheyenne, WY, Terry (Maryanne) Adams of Chesapeake, VA and Gerald (Debra) Adams of Cheyenne, WY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Merl Traw and one grandson, David Reynolds.
Melba was a resident of Springfield, since 1952. She worked at the service desk for 21 years at K-mart on Clear Lake Ave.
Visitation: 1-2 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield with Chaplain Jan Costello officiating.
A private burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
