Mary Theresa "Terry" Freymuth Bottrell
Mary Theresa “Terry” Freymuth Bottrell, 90 of Sherman, formerly of Springfield died at 9:53 am, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. She was born December 21, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of Simon and Loretta Schramm Freymuth, preceding her in death. She married Glenn A. Bottrell on January 17, 1953.
Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta (Freymuth) Beveridge, Virginia (Freymuth) Moser and Agnes Freymuth; one brother, Simon Freymuth and one granddaughter, Nicole Bottrell.
Mary graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1945, as well as Brown’s Business College. She was the first Medical Secretary for the Springfield Clinic from 1945 to 1953 and the owner of Medical Transcription Service from 1953 to 2011.
Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Elkhart, served on St. Patrick’s Parish Council; was a member of St. Patrick’s Altar and Rosary Society; the Elkhart Dance Club, Elkhart afternoon and evening Pinochle clubs; the Elkhart Luncheon Group and was a past member of St. Louise de Marillac Guild and the Women’s Investment Partnership.
Surviving are one son, Paul (wife Lori) Bottrell of Lincoln; three daughters, Janet Elaine Klockenga (husband Gerald) of Sherman, Kathleen Theresa Kaesebier (husband Richard) of Elkhart and Patricia Joanne Davis of Mt. Pulaski; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: 2-5 pm, Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.
Lie-in-state: 9:30-10:30 am, Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church in Elkhart.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church in Elkhart with Reverend John Beveridge officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Building Fund in Elkhart.
