Mary Elizabeth Musick

Mary Elizabeth Musick, 93 of Springfield, died at 2:45 pm, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Heritage Health Care. She was born October 19, 1918 in Springfield to William and Lillian Vernon Gaspard. She married Clarence Leland Musick on April 16, 1960 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1999.
Her parents; three brothers, infant Charles, William “Bud” and Robert and one sister, Louise Cikas also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Norman (Lynda) Ballard of Las Vegas, NV; two step-daughters, Marilyn (Neil) Henkel of Arthur, Illinois and Sharon (Skip) Romine of Atwood, Illinois; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Mary was a member of Marine Bank Retirement Club and formerly served as chairwoman of their Christmas Charity. She enjoyed music and taking bus trips, especially to the Barn Theater and was a proud supporter of QVC.
She formerly worked as an Office Administrator for Roland Machinery and retired from Marine Bank where she worked in loan operations and bookkeeping. She worked for Kelly Services part time until she was 90.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Bob Swickard officiating.
