Mary Eileen Spinner
Mary Eileen Spinner, 91, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Springfield, died at 4:35 am, Monday, January 11, 2016 at her home. She was born December 19, 1924 in Springfield, to Arthur and Gisella Ley Hodalski. She married Bernard H. Spinner on September 11, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary E. (Ray) Hawley of Florissant, MO; three sons, Bernard Michael (Paula) Spinner of Pinehurst, NC, Louis James (Mary) Spinner of St. Peters, MO and Paul Arthur (Shelley) Spinner of Sedalia, MO; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Hodalski of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mary was formerly a resident of Springfield since 1989 and is was a resident of St. Louis for the past 5 years. She was a member of Christ the King Church. She enjoyed bowling and even bowled “a perfect game” and enjoyed watching old movies.
She was a secretary for Helen Keller National Center in Long Island, NY for sixteen years.
Visitation: 10:30 am – 11:30 am, Friday, January 15, 2016 at Christ the King Church.
Funeral Mass: 11:30 am, Friday, January 15, 2016 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Richard Chiola officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
