Mary A. Proctor
AUBURN – Mary A. Proctor, 93, died at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Auburn, IL at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was born in Virden on July 3, 1916, to Oscar and Annie Graham Falcetti. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Ruby Crowder Falcetti. She married Howard G. Proctor on October 9, 1960. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1981. Mary is also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Betty Scott and Evelyn Leach, and nephew, Ronald Leach.
Mary is survived by her sister, Veronica Todd, who also resides at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was a member of A.A.R.P., Sangamon Home Extension, and was a former volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House and Kumler Food Pantry. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired from Horace Mann as a manager of Policy Owner’s Service after 15 years of service. She had also formerly worked for Paul Tick Wholesale Liquor for 13 years and Franklin Life for five years.
No services will be held per Mary’s request.
Private interment of her remains will be held at Auburn Cemetery.
