Marvin E. Clevinger
Marvin E. Clevenger, 71, of Springfield, IL, died at 9:30 p.m., on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on September 25, 1943 in Carlinville, IL to Melvin B. and Viva M. Harms Clevenger. Marvin’s parents preceded him in death. He married Linda L. Jones on July 25, 1964 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Amy (Mark) Lash of Chatham; one son, Jeff (Noel) Clevenger of Chatham; four grandsons, Matt and Luke Clevenger, and Mason and Ryan Lash; four sisters, Sherry (Gary) Kolkhorst, of Raymond, Delores (Rich) Taylor, of Springfield, Wanda (Jim) Monke, of Litchfield, and Paula (Mike) Hall of Litchfield; one brother, Harold “Sonney” (Gerry) Clevenger, of Litchfield; one sister-in-law, Karen (Don) Butts of Litchfield, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marvin owned and operated Midstate Business Forms, which he started in 1976. In 1993 the company was renamed Ideal Business Products. He retired in 2005 and was proud of his children for taking over and continuing the business. Marvin enjoyed playing golf, traveling and playing cards with friends. His greatest love was attending his grandsons’ sporting events and was their biggest fan.

A private burial will be held at Moore Cemetery at a later date.
