Martin L. Dwyer, 55, of Springfield, died at 12:40 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016, at home. He was born June 27, 1960, in Chicago, to Eugene and Louise Costello Dwyer.

Survivors include one sister, Patricia (Robert) McKenna of Bardstown, KY; three brothers: Daniel (Steph) Dwyer of Chicago, Michael (Susan) Dwyer of Oak Forrest, and Thomas (Debbie) Dwyer of Bardstown, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Martin was a resident of Springfield for the past 10 years and was employed with the State of Illinois IEMA, as an Exercise Training Officer. He also served in the United States Army. He was a member of Parkway Christian Church. He was an avid builder of model airplanes and cars.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 7 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with
Pastor Mark Gifford officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Sangamon County Inter- Veterans Burial Detail and the United States Army.
