Martha Luella Wilson
Martha Luella Wilson, 70, of Springfield, died at 5:45 am, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1947 in Springfield to James and Bertha (Elmore) Humphrey. She married William Harold Wilson on December 24, 1964 at Roanoke Baptist Church in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2018.
She is also preceded in death by her two children, Tammy and Terri Wilson; one grandchild, Giovanna Bright and one sister, Maxine Pryor.
She is survived by her three children, Kathy (Alec) Clyne, Crystal (Chet Bright) Wilson, both of Springfield, and Kurt (Jan Sheehan) Wilson of Grovetown, GA; nine grandchildren, Seth, Brett, and Erin Clyne, Carolyn and William Bright, and Quinn, Claire, Grant, and Evelyn Wilson; three sisters, Joy Dougherty of Springfield, Betty Stull of Peoria, and Donna (Fred) Cook of Springfield; one brother, Jimmie (Cindy) Humphrey of Peoria.
Martha was a home day care provider in the Riverton area for over forty years, a member of Eastview Baptist Church for nearly fifty years, and supported the local Boy Scouts of America as an assistant den leader for several years.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
