Mark F. Franke, 57, of Springfield, died at 6:29 pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at his home. He was born February 13, 1958 in Springfield, to Otto and Alma (Fischer) Franke.

Survivors include his brother, Larry O. Franke of Petersburg and Mark’s girlfriend, Cindy Russell of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Smith.

Mark enjoyed working on cars, fishing, going to drag races, sprint car and stock car races. He enjoyed attending car shows and dancing and was a dog lover.

He worked for the Secretary of State at driver’s services in the safety and responsibility department.

Memorial Gathering: 4-6 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.

Memorial Service: 6 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Thomas Radtke officiating.
