Marjorie Elaine Krell

Marge and I first met at Fifth Presbyterian Church where we became good friends and that friendship blossomed into a wonderful, best-friend relationship when we attended Feitshans High. Even though I moved away from Springfield, our friendship remained strong. Strength is a word that describes Marge well especially when it came to her spiritual strength. My sister Connie who posted a condolence earlier commented about Marge's sense of humor. I wholeheartedly agree. During the few times that we visited during my Springfield trips over the past few decades, we had marvelous "laugh fests" as we reminisced. I will miss you, Marge. Love, Hilma

Although Marge grew up a friend of my sisters, we became email friends the past few years. Through all her many health problems, she always had a good sense of humor. She loved the LA Kings and the horse races and lived to see a Triple Crown..one of the things on her bucket list. I will miss her and her emails.

Marge has been a good friend to me and my family for more than 40 years. We all lived in Sherwood subdivision until a few years ago. Our children attended the same schools and we were members of the same church( Faith Evangelical Lutheran). Marge gave much time and talent to the church for as long as she was able as did her husband. They both taught Sunday School and brought children who needed rides to Sunday School and church. They were mentors to students at Bkackhawk Elementary. They gave so much of themselves to others while they were able bodied. They were examples of what a Christian should be. Another friend, Alda, and I visited Marge shortly after she entered the hospice program. Marge was Smiling and pleased to visit with us and not at all frightened to be facing eternal life. She will be missed by many. Our condolences to the family. With love in Christ. Amen

I remember Marge sending me Christmas cards long after I'd moved away from Springfield. Once she even thanked me for what the card had to say (a homemade card) which showed me actually sat down and thought about the cards she received, which is something few of us have time to do at Christmas. Her spirit (and loyalty to the LA Kings) continued to and will continue to make me smile.
