Marjorie E. Wilson
SPRINGFIELD – Marjorie E. Wilson, 79, of Springfield died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born April 13, 1929, in Girard, the daughter of Urias and Della Miller. She married Eugene O. Wilson on Dec. 7, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William Eugene Wilson; sister, Lola Mae Baines; and brothers, Gene, Howard and Russell Miller.
Mrs. Wilson was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She retired from Allis-Chalmers after 32 years as a chemical technician and retired after eight years from Pease’s Candy Co., where she worked in retail sales.
She was a member of Church of the Brethren UCT for 25 years.
Surviving are a son, Greg Wilson of Springfield; three grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas and Michael Wilson; six sisters, Della Marie Klimm, Eleanor (husband, Edwin) Wallace and Wilma (husband, Wayne) Nichols, all of Virden, Zana (husband, Alan) Dahlkamp of Rochester, Ruth (husband, Wayne) Thompson of Texas and Ilene (husband, David) Whisler of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Florence Miller of Girard and Kay Miller of Virden; two brothers, Edward (wife, Stella) Miller of Wood River and Clyde (wife, Marsha) Miller of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
