Marjorie D. Raley
Marjorie D. Raley, 84, of Sherman, died at 3:10 pm, Monday, November 18, 2013 at her home. She was born August 2, 1929 in Taylorville, to William Daniel and Verna Steele Kalips.
Survivors include two sons, Kent (Robyn) Raley of Scottsdale, AZ and Mark (Donna) Raley of Orlinda, TN; two grandchildren, Savanna Raley of Seattle, WA and James Raley of Sherman; one sister, Ellen Ingersoll of Sherman; one nephew, Bill (Donna) Ingersoll of Riverton; two nieces, Mary (Jim) Johnson of Sherman and Barbara Burlew of Villa Grove; one cousin, Jane Bryson of Carmel, CA and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Marjorie was a very active member of Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church and a member of P.E.O. Chapter ES. She was an avid bridge player and loved spending time with her family and enjoyed Illini basketball and Cardinal baseball and traveling.
She retired from FMC Corporation in San Jose, CA after 20 years of service as a Research and Development Coordinator. Prior to that she was a school teacher.
Visitation: 10-11 am, Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mary Jessup officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ride Cemetery.
