SPRINGFIELD – Marjorie A. Enlow, 85, of Springfield, died Friday, June 29, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1922 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of John Paul and Anna Midlock Veseling. She married Leo J. Enlow, Sr. on November 16, 1946 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Her parents preceded her in death.

Mrs. Enlow worked for Fitzpatrick Lumber Company and was a homemaker, mother, and wife. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed quilting and making afghans, painting, ceramics, crosswords, and watching the game show network. She loved her family, especially grandchildren, and looked forward to their family vacations in Minocqua, WI. She belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society and was a lifetime member of Springfield Motor Boat Club. She met with a group of friends that she graduated with from Ursuline Academy once a month and had done so since 1939.

Survivors: husband, Leo J. Enlow, Sr. of Springfield; two daughters, Elaine (husband, Tom) Arisman of Springfield and Patte (husband, Kirk) Crivea of Dawson; two sons, Monsignor Leo J. Enlow, Jr. VF of Effingham and Tom (wife, Jean) Enlow of E. Petersburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Amy, Mark (wife, Krista), Craig (wife, Lora), and Steve Arisman, Tom Enlow, Jr., Jennifer (husband, Kit) Kauffman, and Casey and Maggie Crivea; three great-grandchildren, Leah, Camille, and Mara Arisman; one sister, Eleanor R. Sturm of Springfield; one brother, John (wife, Lillian) Veseling of Salem, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School.

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2007. Prayers: 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Monsignor Leo J. Enlow, Jr., VF and Reverend David Hoefler officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
