Marguerite G. "Jenny" Rudin
Marguerite G. “Jenny” Rudin, 98, of Chatham, died at 10:08 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2017. She was born December 26, 1918 in Belleville, to Thomas H. and Josephine Hall Meeks. She married August C. “Bud” Rudin on June 5, 1939 and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2001.
Survivors include one son, A.C. “Bud” (Mary) Rudin of Bradenton, FL; one daughter, Carol (John) O’Neill of Chatham; five grandchildren, Teri (Rob) Hetterich, Nikole Rudin, John (Christi) O’Neill, Chris O’Neill and Bill (Emily) O’Neill; nine great grandchildren, Connor and Sydney Hetterich, Sam Beck, Brian, Mia, Ella, Olivia, Samantha and Allison O’Neill; several nieces and nephews; and special friends who filled her life with smiles, Dorothy Boehner longtime friend and neighbor, and her dancing buddies Jo Sneckus, Marge Roth and Jim and Alice Graf.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Chatham and an avid member of the P.O.L.K.A Club and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus in Devereux Heights. She worked in the quality control lab for Pillsbury Mills.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Monday, June 26, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with prayer service at 5pm. An additional visitation will be held from 9:00 -9:45 am, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Chatham.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Chatham with Father John Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
