Margie J. Fuhrman-Duke
Margie J. Fuhrman-Duke, 84, of Springfield, died at 12:52pm, on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 25, 1933 in Wendlin, IL to Bernard T. and Mary (Huffman) Rudolphi. She married Vernon Robert “Bob” Duke on September 4, 2004 and he survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mary Pat (James) Skufca of Austin, TX, Carol Pier (Clay Cox) of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara Fuhrman of Austin, TX; one son, Joseph Fuhrman of Denver, CO; three step-children, Becky (Bob) Bolender of Normal, IL, Kim (Andrew) Farah of West Palm Beach, FL, Dennis (Nikki) Duke of Davenport, IA; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; four sisters, Mary (Ralph) Gloyske of Chesterton, IN, Roseanne Michl of Valparaiso, IN, Alice (Jack) Zink of Michigan City, IN, Theresa Lane of Virden, IL; two brothers, Joe (Theresa) Rudolphi of Dixon, IL, Steve Ruldophi of Watson, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Fuhrman who passed away in 1998, and one brother, Henry Rudolphi.
Margie was retired from St. John’s Hospital in 1992 as a registered nurse. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She was an avid reader, quilter, and artist.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
