Margaret L. Moore
– Margaret L. Moore, 84, of Springfield died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at Heritage Manor.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of Andrew and Thersa Kampfl Lascody. She married Robert Leo Moore Sr. on Dec. 1, 1945; he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Roy Andrew Moore; great-grandson, Jesse Dambacher; two sisters, Dorothy Cowden and Theresa Bisby; and a brother, Andrew J. Lascody.
She is survived by a son, Bob L. (wife, Eileen) Moore Jr. of Springfield; two grandchildren, Wendy (husband, Howard) Sheppard and Heather (husband, Jerry) Dambacher, all of Auburn; six great-grandchildren, Shelby, Katie, Dustin, Dakota, Tiffany and Brady; two sisters, Norma (husband, Bob) Edwards of Springfield and Eileen (husband, Joe) Aquila of Philadelphia; brother, Robert (wife, Judy) Lascody of Springfield; aunt, Louise Wieland-Haury of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a lifelong resident of Springfield and the Sherman area. She worked for Allis-Chalmers in the shop doing clerical work and she also worked for the International Shoe Factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also part of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and raising her rat terrier, Minnie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home with prayer service at 6:45 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Peter Harman officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
