Margaret A. Elshoff

Margaret A. Elshoff, 78, of Springfield, died at 9:15 am, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born December 16, 1935 in McHenry, IL, to Herbert and Margaret Weber Simon. She married Carl R. Elshoff on August 28, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Wayne) Gall of Springfield and Deborah (Loren) Payne of Apache Junction, AZ; one son Anthony Elshoff of Springfield; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister Barbara Hansen of McHenry, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Antoinette Elshoff; one brother and seven sisters.

Margaret was a member of Church of The Little Flower. She retired from Franklin Life Insurance Company after twenty years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation: 11am – 1pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Church of The Little Flower.

Funeral Mass: 1pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Church of The Little Flower with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
