Lyle R. Beckey

Lyle R. Beckey, 79, of Riverton, IL died at Memorial Medical Center April 20, 2013 at 1:05 p.m. He was born September 28, 1933 in Taylorville, IL to William and N. Myrtle Rice Beckey. He married Harriet Greenwalt on April 19, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Owen and Eugene Beckey.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet; a daughter, Kimberly of Riverton, IL; a son, Kevin (Cindy) of Honokaa, Hawaii; a grandson, Joshua D. of Torrington, WY; a niece, Diane Ruffner of Missouri and a nephew, Doug Beckey of Edinburg and several cousins.
Lyle was a member of Riverton Methodist Church and belonged to Rochester Masonic Lodge #635 AF&AM and Flower City Chapter of Order Eastern Star #152 and was a Past Worthy Patron. He was a resident of Riverton, IL since 1965. He retired from Fiat Allis after 33 years and also retired from Long Elevator.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Monday, April 29, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star Service at 6:30 pm.

Funeral Service: 10 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathan Dixon officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Riverton Methodist Church.
