Lydia J. Antonacci

Lydia J. Antonacci, 92, of Springfield died at 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Villa East. She was born June 27, 1919 in Springfield to Antonio and Anna Cardinal Fulgenzi. She married Orville Antonacci on July 7, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2000. Her parents, 1 sister, Eleanor Shrier and 2 brothers, Geno and Roland Fulgenzi also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Steven (Lila) Antonacci of Springfield; four grandchildren, Peter, Anthony (Sarah) and Timothy Antonacci and Amanda (Jason) Turner; 5 great-grandchildren, Megan, Lauren, Olivia, Ethan and Jacob; 1 sister, Gilda Fulgenzi of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lydia was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield, worked at Sangamo Electric and was also a homemaker.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Aloysius Church.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Aloysius Church with Reverend Tom Donovan officiating. A private family burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church or Villa Healthcare East.
