Lucille Vilmure Bryant
SPRINGFIELD – Lucille Vilmure Bryant, 95, of Springfield died at 5:19 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born July 19, 1913, in Pana, the daughter of Albert and Edith Fox Dechaney. She married Laurence Vilmure on Oct. 31, 1932, in Pana; he preceded her in death on June 1, 1961. She married Harold Bryant on July 26, 1970; he preceded her in death in 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Frank, Floyd and John Dechaney and Bill Lynch; and sisters, Agnes Gable, Evelyn Rayhill and Vivian Ullrick.
Mrs. Bryant worked as a clerk for the secretary of state, worked for J.C. Penney and also did child care.
She was a member of Church of the Little Flower.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Hodde of Springfield; grandchildren, Larry (wife, Keri) Tate and Liz (husband, Tim Knuth) Tate; great-grandchildren, Britt Tate (husband, Tim) Beaugard, Ryne Tate and Simon Knuth; sisters, Viola Berroyer and Dorothy Creamer; brother, James Lynch; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home with prayers at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at Church of the Little Flower with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
