Lucille A. Frantz

Lucille A. Frantz, 87, of Springfield, died at 2:55 pm, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Heritage Manor. She was born December 5, 1923 in Springfield, Illinois to John and Anna Metzroth Cantrall. She married William E. Frantz and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1966.
Her parents; one brother, Leo; two sisters, Ellen Miller and Margie Geist and one granddaughter, Lisa Grove also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine “Lori” Brown and Carol Frantz both of Springfield; two sons, Wayne Edward Frantz of Springfield and William E. Frantz, Jr. of Lincoln; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lucille was a lifelong resident of Springfield and had worked as a Nurses Aid in the 1960’s; she did office work for AARP; worked for Sangamo Electric and also at Bergner’s North Department Store and Myers Brothers.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
