Lowell H. Fraim, Jr.
Lowell H. Fraim, Jr., 78, of Sherman, died at 5:27 am, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1937 in Springfield, to Lowell H. and Clara B. Snyder Fraim, Sr. He married Linda A. LaFavre on November 24, 1964 and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Rick (Patty) Hagen of Springfield, Shelly (Companion: Glen Hull) Turnbull of Springfield, Tim Fraim, of Springfield, Brian Fraim of Sherman and Kim (Danny) Rockford of Sherman; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Fraim; one sister, Nancy Miller and a son-in-law, Charles E. Turnbull.
Lowell was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was very involved in the Sangamon County Republican Party and served as a District Chairman. He was involved with the Dale Teubner Little league and was former president of the Springfield Metro Sanitation District. He was a member of the Free Masons in Riverton and was a former member of Operating Engineers and Springfield Township Club.
He worked for the State of Illinois Department of Agriculture for twenty-one years and served as superintendent of Illinois State Fair Grounds and was the owner of LHF Specialty Advertising.
Visitation: 10 am – 12:30 pm, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Linda and family, so sorry for your loss. It was always a pleasure to run into Lowell. He never failed to ask about my family and always greeted me with a big smile. Lowell will be missed by all who called him friend. I pray your memories of him will give you comfort. Judy Best and family
