Lorriane F. Matulevich

Lorraine F. Matulevich, 81, of Springfield, died at 11:50 am, Friday, June 20, 2014 at
St. John’s Hospice.

Lorraine was born April 17, 1933 in Springfield to Joseph and Anna Penney Loeser. She married Bernard A. Matulevich on February 17, 1973, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2008. She is also preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Louis Loeser, Stuart Loeser, Howard Loeser and James Loeser.

She is survived by her sons, Don (Stacy) Matulevich of Sherman and Bernard (Gail) Matulevich of Virginia; a daughter, Sue (John) Shaw of Springfield; six grandchildren, John (Andrea) Shaw, Debra (Mike) Long, Jodie (Joe) Foley, Jordan Matulevich, Jared (Elyse) Matulevich and Michael Matulevich; three great-grandchildren, J.T. Shaw, Hunter Foster and Christopher Matulevich; one sister, Rita Broeker of Springfield; two brothers, Edgar C. Loeser and Allen (Carol) Loeser, both of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and her dog, Dolly
.
Lorraine was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was employed at Pease’s Candy and was a grocery checker, but she primarily was a homemaker. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary #755, she enjoyed playing Bunco, going to the boat and playing Bingo.

Visitation: 4-7 pm, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Deacon Ben Hoefler officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
