Lois I. Kerr-Hill
SPRINGFIELD – Lois I. Kerr-Hill, 85, of Springfield died at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Modesto, the daughter of John and Ada Edwards Turner. She married William J. Kerr in 1940; he preceded her in death in 1979. She married Earl M. Hill in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Turner and Ada Edwards Turner Talkington; first husband, William J. Kerr; a son, John Kerr in 1972; and two brothers, Willard and Clyde Turner.
She is survived by her second husband, Earl M. Hill of Springfield, a son, Ronald (wife, Sandra) Kerr of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Judie Kerr of Springfield; two grandchildren, Angela (husband, Doug) Silotto of Sherman and Denise (husband, Jim) Larson of Springfield; a great-granddaughter, Kasie Jo Silotto; a stepson, Dana (wife, Paige) Hill of Springfield; two stepdaughters, Dee Harmony and Judy Crespi, both of Springfield; eight stepgrandchildren; 11 great-stepgrandchildren; a great-great-stepgrandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was a resident of Springfield for most of her life and worked as a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved to dance and travel.
Visitation will be held from noon until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
