Linda S. Marvel

Linda S. Blankenship Marvel, 65, died at her home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was born January 22, 1950 in Springfield to Ora and Bessie Trout Blankenship.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Christina Miller of Springfield; a sister, Denzil DeVaney of Springfield and two brothers, Ora Blankenship, Jr. and Fred (Nancy) Blankenship, both of New Berlin, brother-in-law, Jim Douglas and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Almeda Horsfall, Francis “Babe” Blankenship, Juanita Balderrama, Evelyn Kidd, Helen Bolinger, Shirley Morris, William Blankenship, Louis Whetzel and Donna Douglas.
Linda had worked at Memorial Medical Center in the Dietary Department and also at the Bank of Springfield. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing card games.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life at Rochester Christian Church, Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 1-5 pm.
