Lilly B. Irwin

Lilly B. Irwin, 92, of Springfield died at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born February 9, 1921 in Elkhart, IL to Oren and Eva Shockey VanFossan. She married Oscar Irwin in 1942 and he survives.
She is also survived by one daughter: Sandy (Michael) Branham of Springfield; two grandchildren, Candi (Josh) Laurent and Jacki Summers and 3 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Vincent and Victor. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Lilly was a lifelong resident of Springfield and retired from Sangamo Electric after 33 years.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Rev. Sara Isbell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
