Lillian Poggenpohl
Lillian Poggenpohl, 82, of Springfield, died at 6:50 am, Sunday, January 29, 2017, at St. John’s Hospice. She was born November 1, 1934 in Riverton, IL to Leo and Lena Giacometti Dellomo. She married Ross l. Poggenpohl on September 27, 1979 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1999.
Survivors include three children, Judy (Buck) Johnson of Springfield; Kevin (Susan) Dodd of Riverton and Tamie (Mike) Esela of Springfield; five step-children; six grandchildren, Jason Wells, Ryan (Carin Roscetti) Dodd, Jamie (Brandon) Graff, Leigh Ann (Cyrus McCarty) Dodd, Brianna Esela and Jackson Esela; three step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren, Jadon Wells, Grady Graff and Brody Graff; two sisters, Leola Rogers of Springfield and Linda Lynn of Riverton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Lennie, Louis and Larry Dellomo and one sister, Louise Mann.
Lillian retired from Mutual of Omaha. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and gambling at the Casino. She was a St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini Fan and was a member of Grasshoppers Golf League.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 9:30 am Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Nick Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Judy and Tamie and families, so sad to read of your mom's passing. Could never remember her name, but could never forget her pretty face! So many fun times on Old Jacksonville Road, then running into her again many years later working at IEPA. You all have a new guardian angel watching over you now. ❤
