Lee Hooper
Owassa Lee Hooper, 70, of Springfield, died at 11:32 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2011 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born November 8, 1940 in Litchfield to Ivel and Eunice Winstead Hooper. He married Edith Anne Sauer and she survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Leeann (Robert) Reese of Springfield; Crystal Hooker of Missouri, Christy (Dave) Webb and Carole Christner both of Wisconsin eight grandchildren, Ryan and Kaylee Reese and Jason, Josh, Michael, Ashley, Zachary and Drew Hooper; two great grandchildren, Brady and Easton; six sisters, Wanda, Joanne, Phyllis, Peg, Pat and Lynda; one brother, Buster and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Lee in death are his parents; one son, Andy and one sister, Rosemary.
Lee was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed playing the slot machines and watching TV. He was manager of the Springfield Carwash City Carwashes
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Prince officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
