Larry G. "Butch" Gansbauer
Larry G. “Butch” Gansbauer, 59, of Springfield, died at 5:10 pm, Sunday, December 8, 2013, at his home. He was born September 18, 1954, in Springfield, to Carl and Betty Dautel Gansbauer. He married Linda K. Havener on December 8, 1978 and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry G. “Butchie” Gansbauer, Jr. of Springfield and David G. (Fiancé: Tiffany Taylor) Gansbauer of Riverton; two grandchildren, Bradley and Nathan; mother, Betty Gansbauer of Springfield; two sisters, Rhonda (Mark) Lane of Rushville and Sharon Gansbauer of Springfield; five brothers, Roger Simmons, Bobby, Chuck, James (Penny) and Mike Gansbauer all of Springfield; several brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Joe and Gary Gansbauer.
Larry was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene. He worked for Memorial Medical Center for thirty-five years as a patient transporter. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Waltrip officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
