Larry E. Davis
Larry E. Davis, 71 of Springfield died at 7:15 a.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 22, 1942 in Speedway, Indiana the son of William F. and Lucille Davis, and they precede him in death. He is survived by his friends, the Waldinger and Barrenzuela families.
Larry worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health Vital Records Division. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Amvets and Lamda Chi Alpha.
Visitation: 4:30-6p.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 6 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Lanter officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail.
Burial will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, April 8, 2013 at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 32 Legion Riders for the flagpole replacement project at Camp Butler National Cemetery or the Butler University ROTC Scholarship Fund.

Larry helped me become a member of Lambda Chi in the summer of 1965. He showed me the house and provided information on LXA that prodded me to join and helped me - a country boy from Evansville - become part of the Brotherhood. Thanks Larry!! Al Veeck
