Kristina N. Sewell
Kristina N. Sewell, 26, of Bloomington, died with dignity at 5:55 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at her home after a long, courageous fight against cancer. She was born December 19, 1984 in Springfield to Timothy G. and Janice M. Cazier Grosse. She married Michael B. Sewell on June 9, 2007 and he survives. Also surviving are her mother Janice Grosse of Springfield, father, Timothy (Denise) Grosse of Whitsett, NC; one son, Ethan Gabriel Sewell; one sister Lindsey Grosse of Springfield, one sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Daniel) Giger of Philo, IL; one brother-in-law, Daniel (Marline) Sewell of Philo, IL; mother and father-in-law Kirk and Claudia Sewell of Springfield; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Maxine Grosse of Colfax, IL; maternal grandparents, Jay and Edna Cazier of Windsor, IL and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kristina was a member of Eastview Christian church in Bloomington and formerly belonged to West Side Christian Church in Springfield. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading books and loved playing with her baby boy and spending time with her husband. She formerly worked as a CPA for Sulaski and Webb in Bloomington. She graduated from Chatham High School in 2003 and the University of Illinois in Champaign with her Bachelors in 2007 and Masters in Accounting in 2008.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, August 5, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Lie-in-State: 12-1 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at West Side Christian Church.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at West Side Christian Church with Pastor Mike Baker officiating.
Private burial will be in Windsor Cemetery in Windsor, Illinois.
