Kittie Mae Bobell
Kittie Mae Bobell, 95, of Girard, died at 10:23 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard. She was born January 29, 1919 in Lake Fork, IL to Harold and Alissa Holmes McMann. She married Henry C. “Hank” Bobell on June 30, 1935 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1985. She is also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one daughter: Elizabeth “Betty” Reagin of Nampa, ID; 2 sons: Leo (Kathleen) Bobell of Canton, IL and Wayne “Ed” (Debra) Bobell of Vero Beach, FL; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one sister: Laura Kimble of Palmyra, IL; one brother: Harold “Mike” (Betty) McMann of Sun City, AZ; two nieces; four nephews; several great and great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Kittie was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of Rebekahs, Eastern Star and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafting. She worked at Franklin Life in the Executive Dining Room.
Visitation: 10-11 am, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Gary Gilley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
