Kenneth H. Love
Kenneth H. Love of Quincy, formerly of Bloomington and Springfield, died at 3:53 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. He was born December 17, 1928 in Springfield, to Kenneth and Sarah McGill Love. He married Ruth L. Cassell–Chimento on July 2, 1974 and she preceded him in death.
His parents, two sisters Cecelia Judge and Agnes Thompson preceded him in death.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins, including niece, Therese Kunze of Bloomington.
Kenneth was a retired Postal Supervisor. He was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Sierra in the East China Sea. He was a member of the V.F.W. and Knights of Columbus. He was the ultimate St. Louis Cardinals fan and traveled to Spring training for many years. He had a special compassion for widows and single mothers.
Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Friday, March 14, 2014 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend John Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Tho a cousin, Ken was more like an older brother to me. His sense of family loyalty exceeded any reasonable expectation. Kenny's legacy lives on in our hearts.
