MASON CITY – Kathryn (Rock) Ingersoll, 66, of Mason City, formerly of Sherman, died at 9 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Spaulding, to
Frank and Edna Gathman Bell. She married
Lloyd P. Ingersoll on June 3, 2005.
She was preceded in death by parents; her first husband, Phillip Rock; two sisters, Alice Yocom and Donna Clark; and a nephew, Don DeFrees
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd P. Ingersoll; four children, Sheila (BJ) Fitschen of Cantrall, Punkie (Willie) Schrader of Riverton, Tony Rock of Riverton, and Aaron (Krista) Rock of Riverton; three stepchildren, Jean Martin (companion, Ronnie) of Manito, Debra (Carl) Miller of East Peoria and Randy Ingersoll (companion, Rose) of Mason City; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda DeFrees of Clearwater, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathryn resided in Mason City for four years. She retired as a microfilm operator from Com Microfilm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manito.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman, with the Rev. Dan Chambers officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
