Kathleen M. "Kathy" Morris

Kathleen “Kathy” M. Morris, 62, of Springfield died after a courageous battle with cancer at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1950 in Springfield, IL to Joseph and Nancy (Doyle) Shea. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, two brothers, Michael and Stephen Shea, an aunt, an uncle and ex-husband, Merle Morris.
Kathy retired from the AOIC in 2009, where she had been employed for over 25 years. She also had been employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office.
She is survived by two daughters, Kelly (husband, Billy) Hulett of Hull and Michelle Morris of Springfield, four grandchildren, Shelby, Colten and Taylor Hulett and Camille Tucker, father, Joseph Shea, Sr. of Springfield, mother, Nancy Doyle Shea of Girard, one brother, Joseph Shea, Jr. of Springfield and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m with Reverend Stephen Thompson officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
