Kathleen A. Wagner
Kathleen A. Wagner, 60, of Springfield died at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1952 in Peoria, IL to Wayne and Dorothy J. (Leroy) Peterson. Her mother preceded her in death. She married Robert E. Wagner July 22, 1972.
Her survivors include her husband, two daughters, Elizabeth (Kelsey) Wagner and Alison R. Wagner, both of Springfield; one sister, Billie (Dennis) Lehman and one brother, Steve (Jane) Peterson.
Kathleen was retired from School District 186 where she was a Supervisor of Special Education programs for middle and high school students. She formerly taught at Washington Middle School; Springfield High School; Virden; Chatham; Lexington, Kentucky and Boston, Massachusetts. She served as choreographer for the Springfield Muni; Springfield Theatre Center; Springfield and Glenwood High Schools and the Menard County Singers. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years.
Memorial Gathering: 3-5 pm, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: 5 pm, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Chaplin John Nelson Officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Bob, I was so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Words are in adequate in a time like this, but you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the pleasure of working with Kathy in District 186. She touched the lives of many students and staff. She is missed. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember Kathy with a smile and the source of joy. She always found the positive things in life and was a dedicated teacher and devoted mother and wife. I know you will all feel a loss for a long time. But I hope you feel her in your heart. She helped you become who you are today and will continue to live in you always. She's in a better place, out of pain and she misses you as much as you miss her right now. You'll see her again one day. She be waiting for us all with Grandma at her side.
