Karen L. Holmes, 75, of Bloomington, formerly of Springfield, died at 2:33am on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Heartland Manor Care. She was born in Springfield, IL on October 24, 1942 to Clifford and Louise (Doenges) Moore. She married Delbert D. Holmes, Sr. on September 26, 1981 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2003.

Her parents also preceded her in death.

Survivors include four children; Chris (Craig) Nye of Watchung, NJ, Delbert (Shawn) Holmes of Bloomington, IL, Cindy (Jerry) Michaud of Austin, TX, and Steve (Melissa) Cooper of Chenoa, IL; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Karen, was employed for over twenty years at Springfield Clinic. She loved to play BINGO, go camping, counted cross-stitch, puzzle books, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Graveside Service: 1 pm, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
