Josephine M. Prosperini

Josephine M. Prosperini, 94, of Springfield, IL died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard. She was born on March 17, 1917 in London Ontario, Canada to Harry and Nettie Lang Berger. She married Joseph Prosperini on January 8, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2010. Also preceding her in death where her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is a daughter; Cynthia (Larry) Kilwy of Springfield, two grandchildren Cheryl (Dave) Kessinger of Jacksonville, IL and Jason (Carrie) Kilwy of Converse, TX, five great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Josephine belonged to the Roman Cultural Society Ladies Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary. She was a beautician for almost 60 years.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
