Joseph Michael Luparell
Joseph Michael Luparell, 86 of Dawson, IL went to Heaven at 3:45 pm, April 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born August 22, 1929, son of Tony and Anna Luparell. The fourth child of ten. He married Virginia Chandler on May 12, 1956, in Springfield.
Joe graduated Lanphier High School in 1947. He was stationed in Italy and Germany with the US Army from 1951-1953.
He worked at Pillsbury Mills from the age of 18 till he was 61 (43 ½ years). He also took care of all of his rental properties throughout the years. He was a very hard worker.
Joe was a US Army Veteran and was a member of St. Aloysius Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Anna Luparell; a sister, Eva Bringle, and two brothers, Tony Luparell, Jr. and Vince Luparell.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Luparell of Dawson, two daughters, Rose Luparell and Karen Luparell, one son, Steve Luparell; grandchildren, Brandon Luparell, Kyle Jennings, Kaitlyn Sommer, Giovanni Luparell and Dominic Luparell; sisters, Rose Skinner, Laura Everhart, Anna McCann, Josephine Skeeters and Mary Ann Carraro; brother, John Luparell; several nieces and nephews and special friends of the family, Dan Jennings, George Crawford, Mike Charles and John Svetlik.
Joe was a very special husband, father and grandfather to the kids. He was loved by all.
His beloved pets were a golden Palomino Horse that he loved for 31 years named, Golddust and a Chihuahua named, Tiger.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Aloysius Church with Reverend Clinton Honkomp, O.P., officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
