Joseph Camille, 85, of Sherman, died at 3:20 pm, Friday, April 8, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1930, in Springfield, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Mari) Camille. He married Charlotte (Sherrock) on January 11, 1964, and she survives.
Also surviving are his three children: Kimberly Rork of West Dundee, IL, Toni (Mike) Bradley of Austin, TX, and Mari Camille of Springfield, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jim (Connie) Camille of Sherman, Frank Camille of Sherman, and Robert (Helga) Camille of Ashville, NC, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Aldrich, and brother Ralph Camille.
Joe worked in TV sales for 52 years and was the owner of Joe Camille TV. Joe was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed gardening and tinkering, reading, loved guns and was a history buff. He was a member of St. John Vianney Church.
Visitation: 9:30-10:30 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. John Vianney Church.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. John Vianney Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
