Jerry Ray Piland
Jerry R. Piland passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, in Carlinville, Illinois. He was born October 3, 1952, to Raymond and Marilyn Piland in Stafford, Kansas.
Jerry was a dry wall contractor. He was a very caring individual who always helped anyone who asked. He was very active in AA and assisted in a Jail Ministry with friends. He was very involved in Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn R. Piland of Springfield, sister, Sue Law, of Springfield, and brother, Terry Piland (Jane) of Rescue, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Piland.
Jerry’s memorial service will be held at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, 501 W. Elliott, at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 13.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 1514 West Jefferson, Springfield, IL 62702.

Jerry was a very sweet and caring person. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him on building a Habitat house. He had a big heart to help others! Rest in peace my friend.
