James R. Wyse
James R. Wyse, Jr., 69, of Illiopolis, IL died at 6:42 pm, September 4, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital. He was born May 25, 1942, in Chicago, IL the son of James R. and Ruth Birchall Wyse, Sr. Mr. Wyse is survived by his seven children, Susie Q. (Dennis) Kremitzki of Springfield, Patty A. (Bob) Miller of Dawson, Catherine M. (Jim) Dyer of Pleasant Plains, James R. Wyse III of Illiopolis, Loretta L. Gasparin of Springfield, Elizabeth (Dave) Weller of Rochester, and Vicky (Dan) Hinds of Springfield, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Melissa Edwards of Longview, Texas; one brother, Kenneth (Marian) Wyse of Quincy and several nieces, nephews.
His parents and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Mr. Wyse, a resident of Illiopolis since 2004 had lived in Springfield and was formerly of Chicago. James was a veteran of the United States Army and had been a dispatcher for the Chicago Fire Department, a supervisor at the Springfield Fire Department and a cashier at Walgreens. He had an Associate in Arts degree from Chicago City Junior College Wilber Wright Branch. James loved photography, trains and to ride motorcycles.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 Staab Funeral Home with a friend of the family, James Gasparin, officiating.
Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery where Sangamon County Interveterans will conduct military honors.
