From day one at FedEx, Jim was one of the nicest people I've ever known. While we didn't talk often, we kept in touch through honks and waves on our travels through Springfield. My thoughts are with you all..

To his family - I am truly sorry for your loss. Jim loved his family and he spoke about you when ever we talked. I always called him "Trader" as did most in the Bridgestone motorcycle group. Jim loved Bridgestone bikes and he was well known as the expert on the subject. Jim knew every nut and bolt on every model made. I enjoyed his friendship, traveling to Mid- Ohio race course for vintage motorcycle days, Kentucky, Tennessee or Alabama. He came to Birmingham a few years ago to show his bikes at the Barber Motorsports Park. Jim loved it. We always had a friendly competition with the bikes we built. I still have the note he put under my seat strap that said - very, very nice bike, but it ain't no "Trader". We always worried about what would happen to the Bridgestone bikes once we were all gone. Well Jim, looks like my oldest son Judd may carry the tradition on. Both my boys, Judd and Will, were deeply sadden of your passing, but were glad they got to know you over the years. I'm glad they did to. So my friend, I and the rest of the Bridgestone guys, look forward to the day we will get to all sit down and talk once again about motorcycles and you can remind me that my bike was no "Trader". I'm thankful our paths crossed. You taught me so much. We will all miss you. I will miss you. When ask how you died, I prefer to tell them how you lived. Corey

I went to school with Jim and later reconnected your Dad on Facebook. I was very sad to learn of his passing and hope you all find comfort in your memories. My prayers are with you and may God bless your Dad as well as your entire family.
