James L. Weakly
James L. Weakly, 77, of Springfield, died t 7:45 pm, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at his home. He was born May 7, 1937 in Pana, to Lester and Mona Janes Weakly. He married Mary Lou Patterson on June 17, 1956 in Ramsey, Illinois.
James was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eugene Weakly and one brother-in-law, Charles Jesse.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Weakly; two sons, Dennis (Mary Jeanne) Weakly and John (Robin) Weakly both of Springfield; two daughters, Susan (Craig) Horve of Haslet, TX and Michelle (Chris) Noonan of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren, John (Kathren) Weakly, Staff Sgt Scott (Jenna) Weakly, Michael Weakly, Jennifer Weakly, Lucas Weakly, Lexie Weakly, Melissa Weakly, Susanna Ciota, Trevor Noonan, Bryce Noonan, Sophia Noonan, Christopher Noonan and Amanda Noonan; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Winston Lee Weakly of Marion, Thomas (Joan) Weakly of Centralia and Daniel (Rosemary) Weakly of West Frankfort; two sisters, Ione Jesse of Shelbyville and Anne (James) Ade of Pana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
James and his wife started Springfield Tractor & Trailer Sales in 1975. He proudly owned and operated the business with his wife and children for over thirty years.
James enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing and gardening. He and Mary Lou traveled to all fifty states as well as to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and Most European Countries.

Memorial Service: 3 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Chaplain John Nelson officiating.
