James Casey Lee, Sr.
James Casey Lee, 55, of Riverton, passed away at home with his loving wife by his side at 8:52 am, Friday, March 13, 2015. He has born on September 19, 1959 in Decatur. He married his loving and caring wife, Amber Curcio on February 15, 2011, and she survives.
He is also survived by his Mom and Pops, Edward and Mary Hartke of Riverton; nine children: Kristina (Nate) Belcher of Springfield, Rachel (Ryan) Pate of Chatham, Samuel Young, McKenzee Young and Morgan Williams, all of Riverton, Jacob Charles and Dustin Charles of Springfield, James Casey Lee, Jr. and Amber Nicole Lee of Effingham; eight grandchildren: Elijah Turner, Isaac Turner, Emma Turner, Cade Belcher, Cole Belcher, Haley and Kaylee Norris and Jaelyn Bassford; two sisters: Robin (Donald) Chaudoin of Alexander and Roberta (Dave Borrowman) Fones of Merodosia; one brother, Brett Hartke of Jacksonville; grandmother, Evelyn Hartke of Jacksonville, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Fones, grandparents, Ina and Harry Long, and aunt and uncle Martha and Joe Moore.
James was a resident of Jacksonville and Lincoln most of his life, residing in Riverton the past two years. He was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and employed with the US Postal service for 18 years. James was a US Army veteran, serving in Desert Storm. He loved fishing, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s fan, John Wayne fan, loved spending time with his family, and was a staunch supporter of the Easter egg hunt in Riverton.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Chaplain Julie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Sangamon County Inter-Veterans and the US Army will conduct military honors.
