Iris A. Tranquilli, 77, of Riverton, IL, died at 8:39pm on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital. Iris was born on January 19, 1940 to Dwight W. and Margaret Patterson Brewer. She married Anthony Tranquilli on August 2, 1969, and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2017.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Tranquilli and one son, Kevin Tranquilli both of Riverton; two grandchildren, Nicholas Anthony and Olivia Rose; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant brother – John Dwight; and brother, Michael Brewer.

Iris was a primary grade teacher at Riverton Elementary School. She very much enjoyed reading and knitting.

Visitation: 9:00 – 10:30 am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. James Church in Riverton.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. James Church in Riverton with Rev. George Nellikunnel officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
